APPALACHIA AND THE OZARKS

Appalachian Mountains range is mostly located in the United States but they also extend into Southern Canada. The system is divided into series ranges, with individual mountains averaging around 3000 feet. The highest of the group is Mount Mitchell in North Carolina which is 6,684 feet, making it the highest point east of the Mississippi River in the United States. Appalachian refers to several different regions associated with mountain range. Southern Applalachian moutains include areas of Tennesse, Virginia, Kentucky, West Virginia, Maryland, North Carolina and even as far as Northern Georgia, western South Carolina, and north to Pensylvannia and Southern Ohio (Wikipedia). The Appalachian Plateu's topograpy was formed as streams eroded the interior lowlands adn uplifed horizontal beds (regional landscapes of the Unites States and Canada). California has its own range of mountains throughout the state. Mountain Whitney in the Sierra Nevada is the highest mountain peak in California with 14,505 feet high and 1,647 miles of isolation. The Sierra Nevada has a lot of other attributes and tall mountains throught, from South to North.
